Vaman
Vaman
Vaman is one of the five Panchakarma therapies of Ayurveda. It means therapeutic vomiting which removes the toxins or ama as termed in Ayurveda of the respiratory and gastrointestinal tract. It cures the aggravated Kapha Dosha which is situated in the chest region, hence making the oral route for expelling it an easier choice. The Kapha and Pitta Dosha are brought to Amashaya (stomach and duodenum) from all over the body in Vaman therapy and then the toxins are eliminated by inducing the emesis.
