Anaemia refers to the low hemoglobin levels or the absence of blood from the body. Anemia ensues when the hemoglobin levels fall below the minimum levels, which is 12-16 g/dl for adult females and 14-18d/dl for adult males. Anemia is called Pandurog in Ayurveda since it is characterized by the whitish tint on the skin, eyes, and nails. Anemia is primarily caused due to improper diet, worms, loss of blood, malnutrition, etc.
